Located a 4-minute walk from Ximending Shopping Area, Hotel Zoo offers simple and cozy accommodations in Taipei City. The property is a 5-minute walk from Beimen MRT Station and an 8-minute walk from Taipen Main Station. Free WiFi is available throughout the property.

Great location.
Great location. Comfortable mattress and pillows.
Pictures are not accurate. Room was much smaller and outdated than the pictures. Front desk staff cannot speak or understand English well. You cannot control temperature of the room, the front desk controls it. Walls were thin and it was hard to sleep with noisy kids next door.

Hotel Staff Awesomeness
Generally, the staff are very friendly and they're very accommodating. English speaking is clear, and requests for transport (e.g. Cab/Taxi, shuttles) are immediately attended. Hotel staff knows the easiest ways how to get to the famous landmarks in and out of Taipei. You ask them directions, and they'll give you the full information you need. They even printed a separate map for me when I needed information going to Shifen. Reception table staff is always alert and ready to accommodate your needs (advance weighing of luggage, direction inquiries, or even a quick chat about the beautiful Ximenting). If you arrive ahead of check-in time, they'd secure your luggage safely and not let you worry about bringing your stuff all around. Don't get confused or lost when your cab/taxi drops you off a corner in front of a wide street and not see a sign saying "Hotel Zoo" because this hotel is a part of a group of hotels adjacent to each other. You will see "Relite Hotel" as a sign since that is probably the collective name of all the hotels clustered as one.
Nothing much, maybe just something to improve on specially on the channel selection of the television provided - there are very few channels which are not Chinese. Some female staff should smile a little bit more when entertaining guests.

What was the highlight of Hotel Zoo
It was okay but also disappointing at some point.
I liked how the workers are polite. Food was so-so but nonetheless, it was okay. Wi-Fi is also readily available, though, there are times when connection is slow. Location is really close to Ximending Shopping Area.
First of all, the rooms are not soundproof. Me and my family had hard time resting at night because the rooms above us were creating LOTS of noises (loud banging, loud footsteps). Also, the airconditioning units are not automtically cold. You still have to request to hotel concierge about it. For 2 consecutive days, I had to complain about the aircon unit in our room.
